Ahhh... The Beach.

We just returned from Myrtle Beach. It was so relaxing after such a busy year that my body just felt limp. And that was ok. I'm not a 'sit on the beach in the sun all day' kinda person... and I'm not a fan of being way out in the waves... but I love the beach. The atmosphere... the deafening noise of the waves... The infinite sea of glass... the warm, soft sand... the way people smile and play... it literally smells of God. I love putting my short little sand chair down at the water's edge and letting the waves kiss my feet... pulling my chair and toes deeper into the sand with each pass. And sometimes a beautiful shell or something will wash up for me to ogle over before it quietly moves back to the water. Breathtaking, I say! We had the luxury of a wonderful oceanfront condo. We left the master bedroom sliding door open all night, so we got to hear the constant, soothing roar... which never really got that 'come and go' sound to it... it was pretty constant. It was so soothing. It didn't even matter to me that I wouldn't be able to hear the kids down the hall. I figured the older ones would listen for Noah. That's not like me. But it worked. It was a blessing given to me for this week.

More than the sounds of many waters, Than the mighty breakers of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty. Ps 93:4

A Memory: Molly used to sing "you are my Chun-Chine, my only Chun-Chine." It was sweet. We have it on video. :-)

Disclaimer: It wasn't REALLY Kool-Aid. It was hummingbird food. But really, what's the dif?

As I read your description of the beach and the water I could just picture myself there. I must say there is nothing more relaxing than the sound of the ocean. I love living by the beach again. I am glad you guys were able to get away and breathe! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
